Benoit Bagur

(TECHNICAL DIRECTION)

Benoit has over 35 years of experience in racing and automotive development.

He started his career in 1985 at Bouhier Engineering where he participated in the development of engines and chassis for circuit and rally cars for Peugeot Sport, Renault Sport, Alfa Romeo and private customers (Ford Cosworth, Lancia Delta, BMW M3 of François Delecour).

Then he took the post of technical manager of Philippe GACHE in F3000 (1991).

He was then Engine Manager for 3 seasons at Citroen Sport (2 Paris-Dakar and 15 races in Rally Raid).
Then Director of operations for Fabien GIROIX’s McLaren F1 at the 24 hours of Le Mans (5th place).

From 1996 and for 14 years, he was Technical Director (chassis and engines) of SEAT Sport, where he won 3 World Rally Championship titles in Kit Car (1996, 1997 and 1998), then 10 years later 2 FIA Touring WTCC constructor World Titles (2008 and 2009).

From 2010 he started his own company and worked on many projects, in particular for:
-Skoda Motorsport (Responsible for the development of the 1.6 Turbo engine of the WRC), 
-EXAGON Engineering (Development of the “Furtive” electric car),
-LIGIER (Director of the LIGIER site at Magny Cours and development of LMP Ligier “JS53 CN” and “JSP3 LMP”).

Since 2018, Benoit has been the Technical Director of Delage Automobiles.
